PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project is based on a personal story. I conducted research on the multiple symbolic meanings of thread. The main elements of the project are two hand-sewn tunic-tops, each embroidered with the sentence that gives the work its title. The two garments are connected with several threads, reflecting one of the project’s central themes: the ideas of attachment and interconnectedness.
The project is further extended through an experimental book that continues the ideas introduced by the garments. The book combines visual documentation of the pieces with a written, research-based exploration of the broader meanings of the word thread, including connection, fragility, attachment, and entanglement. The spine of the book is constructed from loose, irregular threads that echo the garments themselves, allowing the material to move beyond its functional role and become a conceptual element within the work.
