PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project centers on the urban presence of pigeons, using Széll Kálmán Square at Budapest, Hungary—an area well known for its dense pigeon population—as a site of observation and data collection. Over a 30-day period, I took daily photographs of the square, documenting how many pigeons appeared in each frame. These image-based counts form the project's first dataset, introduced in the opening of the video as a simple numerical progression.

In the second phase, I gathered subjective data through a survey, completed by 115 participants. Each respondent is represented as a single dot, accompanied by their answer. The responses are connected by color-coded lines: pink for negative, yellow for neutral, and green for positive reactions. The result is a motion-based data visualization that blends quantitative observation with public perception—mapping both the visible and emotional footprint of pigeons in urban space.
